There are rumors of new Macbook release slotted for 2012 .So what can be expected from such a new Macbook? First a faster processor will of course make all the applications to run faster. However the question our readers have to consider is whether the faster speed is worth the upgrade or committing new funds to a new Macbook. Sometimes the speed is only noticeable when running multiple applications or CPU intensive tasks. However for regular day to day users, who browse the web and check the email, the difference may not be easily discernible.
Remember that the Macbook Pro (15 and 17) already run a very fast Intel Core i5 and i7 processors. These processor can also be Turbo boosted to 3.33GHZ.
A new Macbook is likely to have more RAM which would greatly increase the speed when multitasking. This will avoid “haningin”which happens when you “overload” the current models. All current models have 2 GB of standard RAM. However the Pros have 4GBs .Remember that those machines that come with GEForce 320m graphics card which “takes up” 256MB of RAM off the top. The RAM should be adequate for light gamers – but heavy gamers may want more RAM.
For most people the current Macs from the Air to the Pro are adequate enough. No need to spend any money to upgraded yet.
