Should I buy Ipad vs Kindle fire

We have five reasons why the Kindle beats the Ipad.

Amazon Kindle Fire is burning up. During the 2011 holidays the Kindle showed that it had some real fire in the belly. It seems that it outsold the Ipad in its first month sales. It seems like more customers are viewing it as a worthy alternative to the Ipad – which costs twice as much. Amazon Fire Kindle is priced at 199$ while the Apple Ipad is priced at 499$

So here are the five reasons that the Amazon Kindle may prove better than the Ipad.

1. Price
For half the price of Ipad the Amazon Fire is a steal. So you could buy two and half kindles for the price of one Ipad. Price is a major factor for many shoppers to consider and the Kindle has good enough features to deserve consideration.

2. More Content

Due to its being an Amazon product you can imagine that the Kindle Fire has access to a lot content. While Ipad will get you the Apps the Kindle Fire will access the millions of books movies, TV shows, Songs and Magazines from Amazon.
While there is no actual comparable number for Ipads- it seems that the Amazon Kindle has more. In addition with Amazon and its Prime membership you can rent and stream thousands of movies.

3. More storage

The entry Ipad has 16 GB storage space which is not that much. Your alternative is to buy the 32 GB or the 64 GB Ipads. However that is not the case with the Kindle. With its Free Cloud storage this means you can technically store more content with Kindle. Don’t forget that Amazon has the number 1 digital bookstore and is number 2 for music right behind Apple. Kindle Fire has 6GB to use for non Amazon content.

4. More Diversity

With Apple and the Appstore you have to buy app stuff unless you jailbreak your Ipad and invalidate your warranty. With Google Android the opposite is true – too much stuff for you to choose from. With Kindle Fire you can get apps from the Amazon Appstore but it allows you to get the very best of other apps from the open market.

5 Ultra portable

The 10 inch Ipad is heavier and bigger than the 6 inch Kindle. The Kindle is easier to hold and curl up in bed and or in the couch without feeling fatigued. If you want to read for a few hours it is best to go with the Kindle.

However while all these are positive for the Kindle Fire it does not mean that it is not lacking in some areas. Since the Kindle Fire has a display 3 inch smaller – this means that it is not as ideal for watching movies and or playing HD games on. You also cannot take photos or video with Kindle Fire nor can you take video calls.

However for people who have skype on their laptops and own digital cameras they can do without these features on their kindle Fire – especially when they consider the 300$ savings over the cost of the Ipad.
